MoALI Union Minister gives prizes to Livestock Contest awardees

The award presentation ceremony takes place on the second day of the Livestock Show and Contest 2022.

The second day of the Livestock Show and Contest 2022 marking the Diamond Jubilee Union Day jointly conducted by the Livestock and Veterinary Department and the Myanmar Livestock Federation was held at Setsetyo Ground near Koeywa Thabyegon Village in Pobbathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area in line with the COVID-19 health rules yesterday.
The event was crowded with students of the Agricultural University, the University of Veterinary Science and State Agricultural Institute, residents and those who are interested in livestock breeding.
At the event, a total of 265 animals, including cattle, sheep, goats and gayals competed in the contest and 145 booths were showing the way of making hay using machines, animal feeds, animal medicines, equipment and value-added products.
The award presentation ceremony took place and was attended by Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo, Deputy Minister Dr Aung Gyi, officials of the Myanmar Livestock Federation and cattle farmers.
The Union minister and officials gave awards to the winners in the ceremony.
At noon, the Union minister presided over a talk regarding the livestock sector.
He first delivered an opening speech and experts from respective sectors coordinated the discussion.
The third day of the Livestock Fair (2022) will continue today. — MNA
