SAC members, Rakhine State chief minister, commander of Western Command attends launching of electrification through national grid in Wabo Village, Sittway Tsp

Members of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung, Daw Aye Nu Sein, and U Moung Har, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min, Commander of the Western Command Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo and officials arrived at the Wabo Village in Sittway Township by the speedboat and attended the opening ceremony of power distribution from the National Grid in Wabo Village, together with local people.
The ceremony was addressed by Daw Aye Nu Sein and the chief minister, and Rakhine State Deputy Chief Electrical Engineer of Electricity Supply Enterprise U Zaw Moe explained the business operation.
Afterwards, the SAC members and party cut the ribbon to open the transformer, which will supply electricity to Wabo Village. Then, they toured the home weaving business in the village.
Of 3,742 villages in the Rakhine State, 2,246 villages, about 60 per cent of the village, have access to electricity through power, solar and diesel systems, including Wabo Village to date.
The SAC members and party also visited the 480-foot-long Sittway-Wabo Creek Bridge construction project, and officials from the Department of Bridges briefed the bridge construction work.—MNA
