SAC member pays homage to remains of Namhu Sayadaw in Hopong

SAC Member Khun San Lwin and officials offer donations yesterday in Hopong.

State Administration Council Member Khun San Lwin, accompanied by relevant officials, paid homage to Sayadaws and monks and donated alms at Namhu Monastery in Kyauktan village-tract, Hopoing Township in Pa-O Self-Administered Zone in Shan State (South) yesterday.
The SAC member and party paid homage to the remains of Namhu Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vayama and offered day meals to Sayadaws and monks.
The Namhu Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vayama is 101 years old and 81 Vasa when he passed away on 26 April.
The Sayadaw served Hopong Jotikayama Ovada Cariya duties, Pa-O literature and culture propagation, Sangha Ovada Cariya, Hopong Thiri Mingala Ovada Cariya, Hopong Pariyatti Palaka examination Ovada Cariya and Myanmar Nagapura Sasana Lankara Samane examination.
The final rites event of Sayadaw was held in Namhu village on 6 May. — MNA/KTZH
