Over K52.8 billion worth of drugs seized in Kyaikto Township

The police seized K52.8 billion worth of drugs in Kyaikto Township, according to the police statement.
The combined inspection team consisting of Anti-Narcotics Task Force members examined a six-wheeler Isuzu container truck driven by Bo Bo heading to Mawlamyine from Bago at the Mayanchaung checkpoint on the Yangon- Mawlamyine Road in Mon State on 11 March and seized 997 kilogrammes of Ice and 798 kilogrammes of ketamine worth over K52.8 billion. According to the inspection, the suspect transported these drugs to Dawei Township (Thai-Myanmar border) in Taninthayi Region from northern Shan State. The police are investigating to arrest further suspects. — MNA
