MFF to release final player list for ASEAN Futsal Championship

The Myanmar national futsal team will announce the final list for the 2022 ASEAN Futsal Championship in the coming days, according to the Myanmar Football Federation.
The ASEAN Futsal Championship will be held from 2 to 10 April in Bangkok, Thailand.
The final squad will be released before the tourney due to the COVID-19 situation.
The Myanmar Futsal team will bring 22 players to Thailand and select the final player based on the number of players determined by the tournament organizers.
Normally, only 14 players will be selected, but due to the COVID-19 condition, up to 18 players have been nominated and have not yet been approved by the ASEAN Football Federation.
The Myanmar Futsal squad competed in the invitational tournament held in Thailand from 15 to 20 March in preparation for the ASEAN Championship and finished fourth.
The team Myanmar is still training in Thailand after the tournament, officials said.
A total of nine teams will compete in the ASEAN Futsal Championship.
Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Brunei Darussalam are placed in Group A while Myanmar, Viet Nam, Timor-Leste and Australia are falling in Group B. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
