Stimulant tablets seized in some townships

Aung Kyaw Zaw, Ma Tin Aye Eikam, Naing Lin and Ma Than Than (aka) Win Maw Than are seen along with seized heroin.

A combined team consisting of security personnel searched the house of Aung Soe in Kangaung ward, Myeik Township, on the evening of 29 March and seized 11,000 stimulant tablets. On 30 March, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force arrested three men with 5,000 stimulant tablets in Pyigyidagun Township and Chanmyathazi Township.
Similarly, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force seized 6,200 stimulant tablets and 0.5 kilogramme of marijuana during an inspection of the vehicle on Kyatchan road, Dagon Myothit (South) Township, on the same day.
On 29 March, 3.3 kilogrammes of heroin were seized during an inspection of a vehicle on the Mandalay-Lashio Road, near Oriental tollgate, Nawnghkio Township. According to the investigation, related suspects were arrested in Mansi Town and Shwegu Town.
It is reported that action is being taken against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law, according to the Myanmar Police Force. — MNA
