Thingyan revellers, Tatmadaw members and families joyfully enjoyed the water-throwing festivities at the pavilions in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on the Thingyan Akyat Day of Myanmar’s traditional Maha Thingyan Festival 1383 ME.
Renowned artistes, vocalists and choral dance troupes performed singing and dancing entertainment at the pavilion of the families of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) in Zeyathiri Township yesterday. Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win watched the entertainment. He participated in the water-throwing festival together with Tatmadaw members and families.
In the evening, the Vice-Senior General presented gifts and cash rewards to the artistes and choral dance troupes after watching the singing and dancing entertainment of famous artistes and vocalists together with choral dance troupes at the Nay Pyi Taw Mayor’s Maha Thingyan pavilion and the family pavilions of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Seinpan pavilion, Makyiyeik pavilion and Nay Pyi Taw pavilion in the compound of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) were crowded with Thingyan revellers and those enjoying the water-throwing festival. Artistes and vocalists presented songs and choral dances while the pavilions served the people with refreshments. — MNA
