The PyinOoLwin District Administration Body made an announcement on 4 May regarding the sales of plots of divided land at low prices in PyinOoLwin, saying that there may be losses for the buyers in the future.
The announcement was released due to the real estate agents selling state-owned vacant lands, farmlands, forest lands, and village lands on social media without implementing the methods permitted by the government.
“I saw the sales of divided farmlands on social media. Since the price is not high, I made enquiries about the property ownership, and the lands are said to have Form-7 with a guarantee.
They guaranteed that a contract could be made with any lawyer,” said Ma Thei Wut Yee.
Action will be taken under the law against those who implement beyond the rules of Form-7, divide the lands and sell them without permission, make fences and walls and live, it is reported. — TWA/GNLM
