K1.4 billion worth of drugs seized in PyinOoLwin township

A total of over K1.4 billion worth of heroin and stimulant pills were captured in PyinOoLwin Township of Mandalay Region, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force captured 12.21 kilogrammes of heroin and 0.738 million stimulant tablets totally worth over K1.4 billion from a six-wheel car driven by Myo Min Htike (aka) Myo Htike near Pwekauk village of PyinOoLwin township on 4 June at 9 am.
According to the investigation, the suspect admitted the seized drugs to be carried from Shan State (North) to Mandalay Region. Police are investigating and he is being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
