Drugs seized in some townships

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched Naing Lin Aung (aka) Naing Lin (aka) Thiha’s house at the No 7 ward, Hlaing Township on 21 October. They found 2.92 kilogrammes of ketamine, 7,010 tablets of ecstasy and 0.28 kilogramme of powder of Happy Water. Similarly, a combined team searched a Toyota Hilux Surf vehicle which was driven by Myint Aung (aka) Maung Aung accompanied by Ma Nan Htay Oo (aka) Ma Mu, Ma Nan Moe Nwe and Ma Hnin in the Aungban-Pinhmi road, near of Zawti village in Kalaw Township on 23 October. They found 50,000 stimulant tablets in them. As an interrogation result, the team searched Ma Nan Htay Oo (aka) Ma Mu’s house in Ywathit ward, Aungban at 10:30 am. The team found 30,000 stimulant tablets with Ma Mar Ti Na (aka) Ti Na and Ma Than Myint from the house. And the team searched Ma May July’s house in Zaw Ti village at 11 am. They found 16,000 stimulant drugs in the house.
Furthermore, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched two motorcycles which were driven by Alshee and driven by Arrday accompanied by Ma Mi Tee on Ngwezaydi road, Ponetun ward in Tachilek Township at 1:15 pm on 21 October. They found 20,000 stimulant drugs in them.
Those suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA
