Myanmar delegation on study tour of university and nuclear power plant in Moscow

Accompanied by Myanmar ambassador to Russia U Lwin Oo and officials, the Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han and the Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, currently in the Russian Federation, studied Obninsk university, Rosatom Technical Academy and Obninsk Nuclear Power Plant, the world’s first, in Moscow on 15 November.
On arrival at Obninsk university, the Myanmar delegation led by the Union Ministers was greeted by the officials of Obninsk university. Then, the Rector Alexey Panov Tatiana Osipova and officials explained the theoretical and practical teaching to scholarship students from 68 countries and the formation of each department in the university. The Union Ministers asked what they want to know.
Next, the Myanmar delegation was conducted round the university. After that, they exchanged gifts and posed for the group photo.
The delegation members also observed Rosatom Technical Academy and the Rector Yuri Seleznev explained the theoretical and practical teaching to the students. Then, they exchanged gifts.
Finally, the Myanmar delegation observed the Obninsk Nuclear Power Plant which is the world’s first nuclear power plant in Kaluga. — MNA
