COVID-19 vaccine drive continues in various states, regions

Vaccination is being carried out in full swing in various regions and states as the vaccination programmes are one of the most important activities in the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 disease.
Yesterday, doctors and nurses from public hospitals, medical teams from the Tatmadaw, and relevant healthcare workers in collaboration with volunteers gave COVID-19 vaccines to 1,792 people from twenty-six townships in Ayeyawady Region, and 7,064 people from seven districts in Mandalay Region, respectively.
Similarly, on that day healthcare officials gave the vaccines to 1,522 students from twenty-six townships in Ayeyawady Region, and 308 students from seven districts in Mandalay Region.
In addition, to assist in the control and prevention of the Covid-19 disease, military officials from various military commands in collaboration with district and township administrative officials, departmental personnel and members of civil society organizations (CSOs) conducted educational campaigns such as prevention of COVID-19, wearing of masks in public places and distribution of masks to the locals at schools, markets, streets, city entry points and crowded areas in 44 townships in Yangon Region, yesterday. — MNA
