ROK-ASEAN joint XR Project, XR Convergence Sports Contents and Experience Centre opened

The opening ceremony of the ROK-ASEAN joint XR Project, XR Convergence Sports Contents and Experience Centre was held at the University of Information Technology in Hline Township in Yangon yesterday.
Director-General Daw Nwe Ni from the Department of Advanced Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology said that the ROK-ASEAN Joint XR Project: XR Convergence Sports Contents and Experience Centre in Myanmar is one of the nine new projects of 2022 the Republic of Korea-ASEAN Joint XR in ASEAN countries and that it was established to build the foundation for mutual growth of extended reality technology and technological fields between the Republic of Korea and ASEAN.
Afterwards, Mr Jeong Mun Seob, CEO of Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency of the Republic of Korea, and Dr Youn Shik Ha, Chairman of KMPI Consortium Co Ltd explained the information technology cooperation between the two countries and Dr Saw Sanda Aye, Rector of the University of Information Technology, expressed words of thanks.
At the ceremony, the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency of the Republic of Korea and the Department of Advanced Science and Technology of Myanmar signed an agreement on cooperation in ICT development between the two countries.—MNA
