Advanced Accounting and Auditing Training School inaugurated to mark Diamond Jubilee Independence Day

An opening ceremony of the Advanced Accounting and Auditing Training School was held at 9 am yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
State Administration Council member U Sai Lone Seng, Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, Union Auditor-General U Tin Oo, deputy ministers from respective ministries, the deputy auditor-general, departmental heads and guests invited by the Myanmar Association of Certified Public Accountants attended the event.
The SAC member, Union ministers and the Union auditor-general ceremonially inaugurated the school and took documentary photos with attendees.
Union Auditor-General U Tin Oo said that the Government Accounting and Auditing School was opened in Yangon under the guidance and supervision of the State Auditor-General, who was appointed under the Constitution of the Union of Myanmar in 1948.
It moved to Nay Pyi Taw in 2009 and conducted accounting and admin skill courses and statistics courses for government employees to train and produce more accounting skilful personnel and competent ethical accountants who can contribute to the country’s economic development. It also aimed to expand accounting and auditing courses for both the state-owned and private sectors.
Then, Permanent Secretary of the Union Auditor-General Office Daw Khaing Khaing Aung shared information about the training school, the current courses and future plans to extend the courses. — MNA/KZL
