MoBA Union Minister receives Thai Ambassador to Myanmar

Union Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung meets Thai Ambassador Mr Mongkol Visitstump yesterday.

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung received Mr Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Border Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
They cordially discussed stability, peace and development of border areas, the development of human resources for ethnic youths and the progress of the socioeconomic development of locals in border areas, the implementation of long-term development projects carried out in collaboration between the Ministry of Border Affairs and the Mae Fah Luang Foundation of Thailand in Tachilek Township and Pinlaung Township and further cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Phyo Thant, the permanent secretary, the director-general and officials. — MNA/MKKS
