MoE to revise alternative primary education curricula

Starting from the 2023-2024 academic year, it is necessary to reform the alternative primary education curriculum in line with the new basic primary education curriculum in order to carry out the new primary-level adjustment programmes, said Deputy Minister for Education U Zaw Win.
The deputy minister said so at the workshop on alternative primary education curriculum review and update work of the Alternative Education and Lifelong Learning Department, held at the meeting hall of the Education Department in No 52 Office, Nay Pyi Taw on 19 December.
Deputy Minister U Zaw Win highlighted that curriculum experts and technical experts were invited to the workshop to modify the alternative primary education curriculum according to the new basic primary system education curriculum.
In addition, he added that the curriculum of the alternative primary education programme implemented by the Alternative Education and Lifelong Learning Department of the Ministry of Education needs to be in conformity with the new basic education primary education curriculum (KG+ Grade-5). — TWA/CT
