According to the decision of the Myanmar Football Federation and the Myanmar National League Committee meeting 3/2022, the upcoming 2023 football season will be held from the second week of February.
According to the approval of the league committee meeting, the 2023 MNL 1 competition will be expanded with a total of 12 clubs, so the bottom two teams in the 2022 MNL competition will not have to be relegated to MNL 2.

To make the 2023 MNL 2 competition even more intense than now, the clubs that can enter the competition will be screened and accepted, and the number of teams will be expanded.
New clubs that want to compete in the 2023 MNL 2 competition will also be invited and allowed to be screened.
According to the approval decision of the league committee meeting, the 2023 MNL 1 tournament will be held from the second week of February to September 2023 with 12 clubs.
