Equestrian competition held to mark Diamond Jubilee Independence Day

To hail the 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) Independence Day, the Myanmar Equestrian Federation President’s Cup Equestrian Competition was held at the Myanmar Equestrian Federation Ground in Dagon Myothit (North) Township at 8 am yesterday.
Myanmar traditional gallop-ride competition, Myanmar traditional ride, dressage and jumping demonstration are included in the horse riding competition.

“It has been three years since the competitions were held due to the Covid-19. Now, in order to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, we had to prepare from last month.
“More than 40 athletes are competing in four types of competition. The first, second, and third prizes will be awarded. As our federation, we are going to hold a competition like this in the coming month of February.
“Regarding equestrian sport, there will also be small preparatory events to compete in the 80-kilometre horse marathon in the SEA Games to be held in Thailand. We are going to organize the events together with Thailand and Malaysia,” said Myanmar Equestrian Sport Federation President U Pyone Maung Maung.
The equestrian sports competition will be held for three days from 2 to 4 January. — Lin Yarma/KZL
