MoI Union Minister meets departmental staff in Myitkyina

Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn holds a meeting with the departmental staff of the ministery yesterday in Kachin State.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn met the staff of departments under the ministry at the Community Centre of Myitkyina Township in Kachin State yesterday.
Also present were Kachin State Social Affairs Minister U Toe Toe Tun township authorities, Kachin State Libraries Foundation Chairman writer Akyee Ko Ko (Katha) and writers.
During the meeting, the Union minister stressed the need to serve duties free from party politics, make efforts in services that bring benefits to the country and the public, the emergence of youths who love the country, plans to provide true and real-time information and to be reliable media for the public and creative ways to draw interests of the people and young persons to the centre.
Then, Kachin State IPRD head U Hla Htay reported on activities of the department and public awareness programmes conducted by cooperating with writers and town elders in 2022, and the Union minister concluded the meeting.
Afterwards, the Union minister provided cash assistance to the staff. The Union minister and party also visited the Sub-Printing House (Myitkyina) and provided cash awards to the staff. — IPRD/KTZH
