ASEAN-QAA FORUM 2023: Myanmar Chapter held at YUFL

The ASEAN-QAA Forum 2023 is in progress in Yangon yesterday.

The opening ceremony of ASEAN-QAA FORUM 2023: Myanmar Chapter held in collaboration between the ASEAN-QA Association and Yangon University of Foreign Language took place at the multimedia room of YUFL yesterday morning. Students of YUFL performed traditional dances.
The ceremony was held with a hybrid system. The rector of the University of Distance, on behalf of the director-general of the Higher Education Department, and the rector of YUFL delivered the opening speeches from the multimedia room of YUFL. The chair of the ASEAN-QA Association and the executive director of the ASEAN Universities Network also delivered greeting speeches via zoom video. Then, Union Minister Dr Charlie Than of the Ministry of Industry expressed the keynote opening speech via video message.
The two-day event, which will be held under the theme of ‘Re-Imaging Quality Assurance in ASEAN Higher Education towards Sustainability’, will include panel discussions, open forums and paper-reading sessions in which teachers present at the event can participate in person.
Invitees, special guests, officials from UMFCCI, rectors, pro-rectors, and teachers from the universities under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Health, Quality Assurance’s member teachers and officials attended the meeting. —Yangon University of Foreign Language/KZW
