Tatmadaw performs second day of second liver transplant

The second-day operation of the second liver transplant is underway yesterday.

The second day of the second liver transplant operation was done at the special treatment centre of Tatmadaw General Hospital (1000-bed) in Mingaladon township in Yangon.
The operation was carried out on U Thaung Win. The liver extraction from U Phyo Aung Zin, the donor patient, started at 9:30 am and the extracted liver was transplanted at 3:30 pm and the operation took about 11 hours.
Director of the Directorate of Medical Services Maj-Gen Ko Ko Lwin and officials watched the operation.
The patients are now in the ICU under the care of specialists, paramedics and nurses. They are reportedly in good health. — MNA/KZW
