The ASEAN Football Federation will hold the ASEAN U-23 Championship at the end of this year, with participation of 11 teams, including Myanmar.
The ASEAN Football Federation has confirmed the tournaments to be held in 2023, and the ASEAN U-23 tournament will last from 31 October to 12 November.
The tourney will be hosted by Thailand, and all 11 Southeast Asian countries will compete in it.
The ASEAN Football Federation started holding this tournament in 2005, but it was not held regularly in the following years, so it was held only three times in 2005, 2019 and 2022.
The Myanmar team only competed twice in 2005 and 2019, and withdrew from the 2022 competition.
The Myanmar U-22 team will compete in many international competitions this year and will start competing in the 32nd SEA Games in May.
After half a year, they will continue to compete in the Asian Cup U-23 qualifiers, the ASEAN U-23 Championship and the Asian Games. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
