YGEA entrepreneurs hold meeting for gold price stability

Entrepreneurs from Yangon Region Gold Entrepreneurs Association-YGEA held a meeting at its head office on Shwebontha Street, Pabedan Township, Yangon Region, on 28 April to stabilize the gold price.
U San Lwin, the patron of the association, gave an opening speech.
Then, U Myo Myint, chair of the association, said that gold speculators and rumors can rise the gold price. It is necessary for goldsmiths and gold merchants to work together to maintain the gold market, he revealed.
In addition, all must take care not to make wrong transactions due to money laundering, he added, urging all to trade around K2.9 million per tical of gold.
Next, association members U Nay Myo Htet and U Aung Kaung Myat, who attended the gold price maintenance meeting held on 26 April, recounted their meeting experiences on stability of gold prices.
After that, the general secretary of the association, U Win Myint, requested all not to trade illegal items and not to make sales of gold at higher than the set price.—Myo Min Thura/KZL
