DPM MoTC Union Minister supervises relief and rehabilitation tasks in Rakhine State

State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, and Deputy Ministers donated offertories to the monasteries in Sittway yesterday morning.
He toured the ruins of the monasteries and instructed officials to repair the buildings as quickly as possible.
The Admiral unloading of relief supplies from warship Pyi Taw Aye-2 at the multipurpose port in Sittway.
The warship conveyed 12,250 bags of rice and 800 CI sheets and chainsaws. Of them, 2,540 bags of rice were loaded on other vessel for Yathedaung and Maungtaw.
The Admiral viewed medical treatment given by specialists from the Tatmadaw and the Ministry of Health to locals at Myoma Parityatti Buddhist Learning Centre in Ponnagyun and distributed instant noodle to the people.
Next, he viewed damaged buildings at the technical training school for border youths.
Admiral Tin Aung San and Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung met with town elders at State Government guest house and emphasized discussions on rehabilitation tasks for the state and fulfilled the requirements.
In the evening, Admiral Tin Aung San and Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung attended the rehabilitation meeting held at the Rakhine state government office. — MNA/KZL
