Fake news and misinformation have emerged on social media that Security Force members arrested the civilians in Myeik and Dawei townships of Taninthayi Region, and they stopped about 30 locals (male) on Sawminyo road in Kyatsarpyin Ward of Dawei Township and at Customs Jetty on 26 November night.
An official claimed that it was just fabricated news items, and the members of the Security Forces did not take any security measures there on 26 November.
Therefore, the malicious media intentionally spread false information to affect peace and stability and cause misunderstanding against service personnel serving their assigned duties so that residents can live peacefully. — MNA/KTZH
