Promotional video-shooting tour highlights Nay Pyi Taw, Bagan

Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe and officials from the Sai Swe Company and the Thailand-based Best International Travel & Agency pose for the documentary group photo at the platform of the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Under the management of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, the Sai Swe Company and the Thailand-based Best International Travel & Agency have arranged a video-shooting tour with Thai professionals in Nay Pyi Taw and Bagan to showcase Myanmar’s travel destinations and promote them in Thailand.
Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe greeted the shooting crew who came to pay homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The deputy minister emphasized the significance of video tours in boosting the bilateral tourism industry and shared informative insights about the Maravijaya Buddha Image. He also requested that they include the Gandakuti chamber, stone plaques, Mucalinda Lake, archives, and religious buildings in the video.
Additionally, a member of the trustees of the Maravijaya pagoda explained the construction of the Buddha image and pagodas adorned with tablets. The crew also had the opportunity to view a video presentation in the Thai language.
In addition to the Maravijaya Buddha Image, the team will also capture footage of the Uppatasanti Pagoda, white elephants, and the parliament building in Nay Pyi Taw, as well as the scenic beauty and sunrise views of Bagan. Their documentary will be aired on Channel 8 of Thai TV channels and social media networks to promote awareness of Myanmar tourism. — MNA/NT
