MoI UM inspects preparations for Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan

Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn views round preparatory work for the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan yesterday.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Ye Tint and departmental officials, inspected the preparations for Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan yesterday.
Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan will be organized on a grand scale from 13 to 16 April near the Nay Pyi Taw Mayor Maha Thingyan Pavilion on Pyinmana-Taungnyo Road to the intersection of Sipin guesthouse Road.
During the inspection tour, the Union minister looked into the construction of Thingyan pandals, including Thingyan pandals of various nationalities, preparations for free food donations and other proper recreational sites for Ethnic Thingyan, Saduthida Thingyan, Ministries’ Thingyan and Youths’ Thingyan.
He then instructed the staff to take precautions against fire and water shortage, and provide healthcare in a timely manner and work together with the respective committees to complete the work on time.
This year, the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan will feature huge Thingyan pavilions and entertainment programmes of local artistes, and K-pop artistes.
The Ministry of Construction constructed the Nyana Theikdhi Family Thingyan Pavilion and will offer food to the visitors.
Similarly, there will be a Russia-Myanmar Friendship Association Pavilion, and Russian youth artistes will entertain during the festival. Moreover, the international standard China-Myanmar-India Friendship Pavilion is being constructed, and the food donation event will be included.
There will be 26 Thingyan pavilions for Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan consisting of Ethnic Thingyan, Saduthitha Thingyan, Ministries’ Thingyan and Youths’ Thingyan.
Zone 1 and Zone 2 will be there. Zone 1 offers ethnic food donation Thingyan at the Zone 1 main entrance, and there will be designated places to paly water based on the culture of ethnic people and a photo booth representing ethnic people to take photos for fun. Zone 2 mainly focuses on young people and children and consists of an international water slide, foam party, inflatable tanks, slide, and DJ performance. — MNA/KTZH
