Hsinphyushin naval vessel returns from MILAN-2024, 6th IMNEX led by Indian Navy

The warship Hsinphyushin, led by Captain Zaw Oo, which left for Visakhapatnam, India, to attend the Multilateral Naval Exercise (MILAN-2024) and 6th IMNEX, arrived back at No 3 Naval Jetty (Thilawa) yesterday.
The warship and naval officials were welcomed back by Commodore Tun Lu from Naval Training Command Headquarters, as well as officers and other ranks from the Navy and their families.
The MILAN-2024 was held from 19 to 27 February, and 13 warships, including Hsinphyushin of Myanmar and one reconnaissance aircraft, from 14 countries participated in the operation.
Myanmar took part in the International Maritime Seminar with 47 other countries, the Subject Matter Expert Exchange Programme, MILAN Young Officer Interaction, harbour-based exercises, International City Parade, and displayed traditional food and Myanmar’s handicrafts at MILAN Village, visited Bodh Gaya and Taj Mahal in addition to the naval exercises with international warships.
Moreover, Myanmar participated in the 6th IMNEX held from 28 February to 2 March in the field of harbour-based exercises, bilateral naval exchange, and naval exercises with INS Kamorta (P28) of India.
The naval ship Sinphyushin sailed a total of 2,650 nautical miles during the voyage. — MNA/KTZH
