Shwedagon Pagoda to celebrate 2,612th Anniversary of Buddha Pujaniya Festival

The Shwedagon Pagoda will celebrate its 2,612th anniversary with the Buddha Pujaniya Festival in full swing from 15 to 24 March 2024, according to the pagoda’s board of trustees.
During the festival, the board of trustees will hold ceremonies dedicated to worshipping the Buddha, the Dhamma and the Sangha. These ceremonies will include chanting Pali scriptures (Pathtana) and offering alms rice to over 100 monks. — ASH/TKO
