500 Japanese companies to recruit more than 1700 Myanmar workers

500 Japanese companies will employ more than 1700 Myanmar workers, according to the statement released by Myanmar Embassy in Japan.

The embassy has carried out verification of demand letters in order of reply dates from Japanese companies, and until 6 February 2024, it has re-submitted 500 demand letters to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the statement, 500 Japanese companies will offer jobs for more than 600 male workers and more than 1100 female workers, totalling more than 1700 Myanmar workers.

The statement said the embassy has carried out verification of demand letters submitted from the Ministry of Labour, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The embassy verified on documents whether Japan labour supervisory company and factories or companies which offer job are officially established in Japan or not and resent its findings and remarks to the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
