Ngwehsaung, situated in Pathein District, Ayeyawady Region, saw a surge of domestic travellers from across Myanmar and foreign tourists gathering to unwind on 27 March, Armed Forces Day.
Renowned for its extensive coastline, pristine beaches, and good hospitality services offered by hotels and guesthouses, Ngwehsaung Beach has long been a magnet for holidaymakers.
Reports indicated that Ngwehsaung Township experienced a significant influx of visitors yesterday, with tourists flocking to popular spots such as Mwaykyun Beach, Latekyun Beach, Nyaikkyun Beach, Sinmakyun Beach, Kyunhlarshay Beach, Lover Island, Phayathonsu, and Moemakha Elephant Camp.
U Thein Zaw, administrator of Ngwehsaung, highlighted the collaborative efforts between Ngwehsaung Police Station, township-level departments, and beach security teams to ensure that guests can enjoy the beautiful beach without any worries.
