Action to be taken against catching fish/shrimp in sheltered areas during bad weather

Hainggyi Island in Ngaputaw Township designated as a weather shelter.

Action will be taken if fish/shrimp are caught in places in the shelters which allowed trawlers during bad weather, announced by the Department of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
The designated places as weather shelters are Mingan creek in Sittway Township, Phayongar island in Pauktaw Township, Ngalapwae creek in Kyaukpyu Township, Singaung port and Thabyugyaing in Thandwe Township, Thinbawseik in Taungup Township, Amawgyaing in Tintaw Village-tract of Gwa Township in Rakhine State.
In Ayeyawady region, Hainggyi island and Chaungwa village in Ngaputaw Township, Kadonkani village in Bogale Township, Wah Island in Ye Township in Mon State, Maugmakanbok island and Launglonbok island in Launglon Township, Thaninthayi Island in Myeik Township and Pyinsabu Island in Kyunsu Township are designated as weather shelters. — TWA/KZW
