All need to seek ways for winning the trusts of people over the banking system: MoPF Union Minister

Union Minister U Win Shein chairs the meeting on LNG import and currency circulation normalcy.

Efforts must be made for levying taxes and electricity bills for the State this financial year, said Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein at the meeting on import of LNG by foreign investment companies and currency circulation normalcy in the nation yesterday morning.
The meeting focused on clarifying the people on fulfilment of needs for the electricity supply companies to import LNG, at industrial zones, electronic system payment for electricity bills, and digital payment systems.
Officials of the Internal Revenue Department and Central Bank of Myanmar discussed levying of taxes and monetary circulation of banks.
The Union minister stressed the need to apply the account changing payment, use of cheque and money orders, electronic payment and digital payment on a broader scale with reducing cash, monitor cash payment and cash draw from the banks and inform the people about smooth payment of bills to the State. He noted that cooperation between State-owned banks and private banks is of great importance. In conclusion, the Union minister urged all to seek ways together with the Central Bank of Myanmar for winning the trusts of people over the banking system. — MNA
