In Yangon property market, apartment rental has been high while buying and selling has been dull, said a real estate expert.
At present, property rental, from condominium room to separate house, has been high and apartment rent has been active too, he said.
“Currently, rental has been high in Yangon market. Apartment rent has been also active. And rental price has also increased. Some owners asked to pay 3-month down-payment, if not they refused to rent. But the buying and selling has been quiet,” he said.
Among tenants, there are people who come from other regions and states and those who had previously lived in Yangon have moved, said Ma Phyu Wint War Lwin, a estate agent from Thingangyun township.
“Market price is different. I deal with apartment only. As apartment rental price rose, some tenants moved to other places. There are many tenants who are not Yangon residents. Recently, the rental market has been quite active,” she said.
At present, there are land transactions only and the sale of apartment and separate house has been slow, according to real estate agents. — Htet Oo Maung/ZS/ED
