Applications invited for short-term vocational courses at SITE

Students are seen engaging in practical sessions at the School of Industrial Training and Education (SITE).

The School of Industrial Training and Education (SITE) under the Vocational Education and Training Department, Ministry of Science and Technology, will be offering the following short-term courses: Certificate in Woodworking Technology, Certificate in Basic Industrial Technologies and Advanced Certificate in Industrial Automation.
Applicants who have passed the matriculation examination with a combination including mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and those who have completed ITC, GTHS (BT, MT), and AGTI (Civil) courses are eligible to apply for the course in woodworking technology.
Similarly, those who have passed the matriculation examination with a combination including mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and those who have completed ITC, GTHS (ECT, ET, IT, MT, AMT), and AGTI (EC, EP, Mech, IE) courses are eligible to apply for the course in basic industrial technologies.
Applicants who have completed the course in basic industrial technologies offered by the School of Industrial Training and Education (SITE), those who have finished AGTI (EC, EP, Mech, IE) courses, and holders of BTech and BE (EC, EP, Mech, MC) can apply for the course in industrial automation.
All applicants must have a technical and professional orientation, be in good health, and possess the capability to conduct fieldwork at factories/companies. Preliminarily selected candidates will be required to undergo an interview. Each course has a duration of four months.
