Armed insurgents bomb sskm

One was injured in Hopin, Mohnyin Township, Kachin State after an explosive device was detonated on the Hopin bridge.
Armed insurgents reportedly planted a mine the bridge, locally called Wat Kone bridge, built over Thayet creek on Hopin-Myitkyina road at around 8.30 pm on 24 May.
At the bottom of the damaged bridge, one man, believed to be from Mogaung Township who drove his motorcycle on the damaged bridge, was found unconscious with a fractured head and taken to Mohnyin Hospital by the security forces.
It is reported that another unexploded mine was found on the eastern side of the damaged bridge while the security forces were clearing the area. — MNA
