Two village administrative officials attacked by knives

Two village administrative officials in Yamethin Township of Mandalay Region were attacked by terrorist groups using knives with attempts to undermine administrative machinery.
At 9:30 am on 24 May, Inpaung Village Administrator U Myint Naing from South Inpaung Village and 100-household leader U Tin Zaw Win left Inpaung Village for Yamethin by motorcycle along Yemethin-Myohla road. On arrival at Magyigone Village, four male terrorists (under scrutiny) on two motorcycles attacked the two formers using knives.
In the incident, U Myint Naing and U Tin Zaw Win were seriously injured with bruises on their heads, cheeks, nose, necks and left shoulder.
They were sent to Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1000-bed) via Yamethin Hospital to receive medical treatments.
Security forces are searching for four terrorists to be taken effective action under the law. — MNA
