Armed terrorists kill two civilians in Gangaw, Magway Region

Two people, husband and wife from Bawpyin village, were killed by armed isurgents in Gangaw Township, Magway Region yesterday. According to the report, the security forces rushed to the scene and found them with bullet and knife wounds.
After the dead bodies had been performed autopsy at the Gangaw Township Hospital, the security forces and the family of the deceased persons brought the bodies back for cremation in Bawpyin village by vehicle.
When they arrived at about a mile distance to the village, a group of 15 armed insurgents opened fire at the security forces and retreated when being retaliated. Two terrorists were found dead at the scene and one percussion lock firearm was seized.
The security forces were attacked again while inspecting the retreat way of the terrorists. During the clash, two terrorists died and one M 22 rifle, 49 bullets and two magazines were seized from them.
It is reported that security forces will be deployed to arrest the terrorists.—MNA
