Erected navigational signs in some designated areas.

The Navigation Department of Region 5 under the Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems stated that it has planned to put up 580 navigational signs along the Mandalay-Myinmu-NyaungU waterway of the Ayeyawady River in the first week of January 2023.
To ensure safe travel for ships along the waterway, 380 navigational markings in the water and 200 navigational markings on land will be set up.
There has been some damage to the past navigational markings due to weather changes and river erosion. Currently, the water in the river is low, resulting in the formation of sandbanks and changes in the water course.
The Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems warned that ships sailing along the Mandalay-Myinmu-NyaungU route are required to pay special attention to navigational directions. — TWA/CT
