Myanmar workers leave for Thailand under MoU

Myanmar sent 1,000 workers to Thailand under the MoU system through the Myawady-Mae Sot and Kawthoung-Ranong borders in December.
They are to work at CARA Bakery Co Ltd and a pineapple factory in Thailand, according to the office of the labour attaché.
There are 114 overseas employment agencies to officially despatch Myanmar workers to Thailand under the MoU system and as 214,013 demand letters have been received a total of 150,637 Myanmar workers will be recruited. — TWA/MKKS
