Award ceremony for article competition commemorating Diamond Jubilee Independence Day held

The Ministry of Information organized an award-giving ceremony for Diamond Jubilee Independence Day commemorative article competition yesterday.
The competition intends to spread knowledge among the public, especially youths regarding the efforts to regain independence, the essence of independence during 75 years and protect independence with its great history.
A total of 96 literati and amateurs participated in the competition and experts of the Myanmar Writers’ Association selected the winners.
The award ceremony was attended by Deputy Ministers U Ye Tint, U Zaw Win, Dr Aye Tun and Dr Soe Win, Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Myint Soe, Permanent Secretary U Myo Myint Maung, departmental officials, winners and invitees.
After the remark by Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, officials gave away the first, second and third prizes including 15 special prizes to relevant winners.
Then, Captain Nyunt Win (retired) who won the first prize in the “Maintain the Union heritage for its sustainability” article expressed thanks on behalf of the winners, and the deputy ministers, officials and winners took commemorative photos. — MNA/KTZH
