Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and officials on 19 April inspected the development of drum seeder production at No 13 Ward Industrial Zone in Pathein ahead of the upcoming monsoon paddy season.
The factory officials provided the chief minister with a detailed walkthrough of the assembly process, from wheel production to the final stage of painting the machines.
The chief minister emphasized the region’s pivotal role in the agricultural sector and underscored the significance of agricultural machinery and workshops. He urged the officials to carefully consider the suitability of drum seeders for the region’s diverse land and climate conditions while also ensuring affordability.
Additionally, he advocated for the advancement of agricultural machinery through research to better assist farmers. — IPRD/NT
