Ayeyawady Region’s products, foodstuffs on sale at Chaungtha Beach

The Ayeyawady Region’s foodstuffs, commodities and handicrafts which are made of cane, water hyacinth and bamboo are sold at Chaungtha Beach as a pre-Thadingyut festival, according to the regional government.
The products from six districts of Ayeyawady Region and other products of MSMEs will be on sale at the event.
The Kyonpyaw district displays 106 kinds of products made of cane, 37 kinds of commodities by the region Small Scale Industries Department and Women’s Vocational Training School, 25 kinds of foodstuffs by Myanaung District, 15 types of foodstuffs including fish-paste, salt and rice and so on by Labutta District, 32 kinds of foodstuffs by Pyapon District, 25 types of foodstuffs including murta mat by Maubin District, 36 types of foodstuffs, cane products and murta mat by Hinthada District, 26 types of foodstuffs by Myaungmya District, eight types of foodstuffs including ready-made food by Global Earth Agro and Aqua Industry Public Co Ltd, and nine types of the product by Wah Wah Win Agriculture and Livestock Company. Moreover, there is a booth of the region Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, another booth of the region Forest Department that features 40 types of cane, bamboo and forest products and a booth of Pathein District that displays 41 types of foodstuffs.
The regional product exhibition and trade fair aim to develop the Chaungtha beach tourism, study the MSMEs products for travellers and locals, promote the production sector based on raw materials in respective districts and townships and lure the local and foreign travellers to study and buy the cane, bamboo and water hyacinth products of Ayeyawady Region.
