Bagan Archaeological Museum earns nearly K25 mln in seven months of this FY

The Bagan Archaeological Museum in NyaungU Township, Mandalay Region, collected entrance fee K24,895,500 from a total of 47,325 local and foreign travellers who visited the museum during the seven-month period of this financial year, according to officials from the Department of Archaeology and Museum Department (Bagan Branch).
The museum set the entrance fee at K500 each for local visitors and K5,000 each for foreign visitors.
During the period from April to October this year, the museum admitted 47,051 local visitors and 274 foreign tourists, collecting K23,525,500 from homegrown visitors and earning K1,370,000 from foreigners.
The museum offers free admission to Buddhist monks, nuns and child under 10, as stated by Deputy Director Daw Khet Khet Hla, the curator of the museum in Bagan Branch of Department of Archaeology and Museum Department. — Dipa Linn/KZL
