BIDV Yangon donates K12M to YUFL’s first Vietnamese language course

The opening ceremony of basic Vietnamese language course batch 1 was taking place.

On behalf of the Vietnam Business Club in Myanmar (VBCM), the BIDV Yangon branch’s CEO Mr Nguyen Quang Ngoc provided financial aid worth K12 million for a basic Vietnamese language course batch at Yangon University of Foreign Languages (YUFL).
The opening ceremony of the basic Vietnamese language course batch 1 was held on 25 May at 9:30 am at the university and attended by Vietnamese businesspeople in Yangon, executive members of the Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Association and Vietnam-Myanmar Friendship Association, officials from the Vietnam Embassy, colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and trainees. Honourable guests observed YUFL classrooms and motivated Vietnamese language students.

This is a six-month basic-level course, and it has a total of 62 students who are interested in the Vietnamese language and who want to apply it at their workplace. Two Vietnamese teachers who can speak the Myanmar language fairly have taught as of 18 May. — MT/ZS/ED
