ME in Tokyo lists required documents, payments for passport renewals

The Myanmar Embassy to Japan has announced the lists of people who still need to send the required documents for passport renewal and those who have renewed their passports but need to pay the booklet fees and income tax.
The embassy provides consular services for the interests of Myanmar nationals in Japan in accordance with the laws, rules, regulations, and procedures. The required documents and application procedures for the respective passport types are published on its website: http://www. myanmar-embassy-tokyo.net/2023/consular-revised/revised2023.htm, it stated. However, there have been delays in the issuance of renewed passports due to incomplete documents in the postal applications, it added.
Therefore, the list of 378 nationals among the applicants up to 31 March who need to send complete documents has been announced, referring to the required documents described at http://www.myanmar-embassy-tokyo.net/2024/Passport/7-1.htm.
In addition, the list of 353 persons who have renewed their passports but still need to pay the booklet fees, fines, and income tax has also been published at http://www.myanmar-embassy-tokyo.net/2024/Passport/7-2.htm. They are advised to send the required documents to the embassy in person or by mail or to [email protected].
When they send the documents, it is necessary to describe the name, date of birth, passport number of the applicant, the first date of sending the documents to the embassy, and the serial numbers in the attached schedule, the embassy informed. — MT/ZN/ED
