CBM Governor receives officials of May Bank, Yangon branch

Central Bank of Myanmar Governor Daw Than Than Swe received Country Head Sulaiman Abdul Aziz of May Bank, Yangon Branch and officials from Chang Hon Huen (Eddie) (Head, Operations) at the Yangon branch of CBM yesterday morning.
At the meeting, they discussed operating the functions of May Bank in Myanmar as the branch and policy of the head office. They said they wish for instructions from the Central Bank of Myanmar. The CBM supervises the daily functions of foreign banks and private banks. They also discussed the progress of the current foreign currency market, undertakings at the Interbank Market, payment for trading, active moves of May Bank in worker remittance of Myanmar in Malaysia, and money laundering and financing to the terrorism process.
Also present at the meeting were Permanent Secretary U Aung Aung and Director General Daw Khaing Shwe Wah of the Accounts Department. — MNA/TTA
