State Administration Council Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing meets President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov on 25 June.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, together with Military Attaché Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Moe and delegation members, met President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov on the evening of 25 June.
The President welcomed and greeted the Senior General and delegation members at the President Office in Kremlin. After an exclusive meeting at the President Office, they exchanged gifts. Next, the Senior General signed in the guests’ book.
The Senior General and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan presented their delegations in attendance to each other at the parlour of the President Office. They then held talks.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman, Mayor Dr Maung Maung Naing, Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Than Aung Kyaw, Russian-Myanmar Friendship Association Chairman Brig-Gen Aung Thaw (Retd) and officials. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan was accompanied by cabinet members and officials.
Both sides cordially discussed strengthening of Russia-Myanmar diplomatic ties and bilateral friendship, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan’s visit to Myanmar in 2013 and discussion of economic cooperation, political changes in Myanmar, the SAC’s handling of terrorist acts in line with the international laws and existing domestic laws for ensuring the rule of law and protecting the people and future tasks, promotion of trade and investment cooperation to improve bilateral relations and cooperation in oil and gas extraction, industrial development, education and economy.
After the meeting, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a dinner in honour of the delegation led by the Senior General.
The President of the Republic of the Tatarstan and the Senior General extended greetings and had dinner together with those present.
During the dinner, the traditional music of the Republic of Tatarstan performed traditional songs and dances. The Senior General then presented cash awards and a basket of flowers to the troupe. After dinner, they had a documentary photo taken.
In the evening, the Senior General and delegation members visited Kremlin in the capital of Kazan. They visited Blagoveshenskiy Church and Kul Sharif Mosque, where they were conducted by monks and officials. The Senior General asked what he wanted to know.—MNA
