The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism said they will invite Chinese tourists to enjoy FAM Trip to Yangon, Bagan and Mandalay destinations in January 2024.
“To attract more Chinese tourists, the ministry organizes the FAM Trip for Chinese media, influencers, bloggers and tourism agents. It also intends to express normal accessibility to Yangon, Bagan and Mandalay tourist destinations. We invite the tourism companies that work for Myanmar tours in Yunnan Province, as well as influencers and media officials from private and government broadcasters. There might be about 40 people for the FAM Trip, and they are expected to arrive in January,” said a ministry official.
An invitation programme (FAM Trip) for Russian tourists was launched with 30 tourists to 14 destinations to develop the tourism market in Myanmar. Those 14 tourist destinations comprised Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, Ngwehsaung, Chaungtha, Ngapali, PyinOoLwin, Inlay, Kalaw-Taunggyi, Kawthoung, Kyaukpyu, Manaung and PutaO. Similarly, the Fam Trip for four Thai tourists was organized. The Fam Trip was made for the Yangon-Magway-Minbu-Minhla-Yenangyoung areas. As a result, the new tour package has become better known in Thai and domestic tourism markets. — ASH/KTZH
