Collective efforts needed to meet international airport facilities

The MoHT Union Minister opens training courses for Barrier-Free Tourism Service and tour guides in Bagan.

As there are domestic and foreign tourist arrivals at the airports now, the departments concerned should provide services from respective sectors and staff need to work collectively in the airport compounds as per the features of international airports, said Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung.
The Union minister made such instructions while meeting departmental staff of the Mandalay International Airport on 3 June.
Then, the Union minister attended the opening ceremony of Barrier-Free Tourism Service Training (1/2022) together with the Mandalay Region chief minister at Pullman Hotel.
On the same morning, the Union minister also joined the opening ceremony of training courses for Barrier-Free Tourism Service and tour guides held at Heritage Bagan Hotel in Bagan.
Then, the Union minister inspected the third COVID-19 booster dose programme to hotel staff in Bagan hotel zones, maintenance on Nan Myint Tower and preparations for local and foreign tourists. At noon, the Union Minister met with the tourism organizations of PyinOoLwin Township at Shwe Nan Htike Hotel and instructed to explore more interesting sites in PyinOoLwin to attract travellers. —MNA
